💡 As I've seen throughout my career, and as I see with my mentees, there's a lot of stuff that never gets spoken about, never gets taught: the human skills needed to be a good leader.

You can be a tech specialist, or better, a generalist (closer to where you need to be as CTO), and have answers in complex scaling scenarios, cloud elasticity, great TCO, SaaS best practices, and everything deeply technical, but when push comes to shove, when you actually become a CTO, that's not what counts most.

In my mentorship sessions, we address the hard parts of creating the right mindset, losing the individual contributor addiction, losing the imposter syndrome in the boardroom, taking ownership, talking business (as a C-level), addressing toxicity, doing change management, etc.
